Cirque du Soleil is Coming Back to False Creek

Cirque du Soleil is bringing their Grand Chapiteau (Big Top) back to the vacant Concord Pacific land in North East False Creek on June 12, 2008. This time they are bringing their Corteo show which according to the Cirque website "... brings together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth."

I've never seen a Cirque show, but I have heard numerous great things and even have an old high school friend who is a Cirque performer. I always like seeing the circus come to town and put up their big tent in what is otherwise an ugly concrete wasteland (that will one day be more concrete towers and a park).
