False Creek Things to Do: Chinese New Year at the Market on Granville Island

I can't find anything on the web about this but I picked up a card at the Market this morning that says "The Public Market on Granville Island Presents Chinese New Year Celebrations on Granville Island! Saturday February 9th from 10 am to 3pm" So if you are looking to warm up for the big Chinese New Years parade in Chinatown (and here) head on down to the market and something will be happening.

 UPDATE (February 5, 2008) - I know I just posted this last night but I found an ad in the Vancouver Sun this morning with some details on what is happening on Saturday.

• Chinese cooking demonstrations
• Calligraphy, kung fu & traditional Chinese dance presentations
