False Creek Residents Association Meeting Tomorrow (Tuesday) Night

False Creek Residents Association is meeting tomorrow (Tuesday, February 12th) from 7:30 - 9:30pm at Science World. This appears to be just the second meeting of the False Creek Residents Association (FCRA) and that might explain my fruitless search for a website for the organization.

The FCRA "represents the growing communities of South False Creek, Yaletown, Crosstown, Tinseltown, Citygate and Chinatown" (from the poster below). Wow this is quite the area and some of these areas aren't even on the creek. Tinseltown? Chinatown? Aren't they the same place? Crosstown? I thought crosstown was the area along Beatty Street from Georgia down to Pender. It is closer to the harbour than the creek. Anyway I sure the organization is a group of well intentioned individuals trying to do the best for their community (or communities). 

On the agenda tomorrow will be:

• The Steering Committee
• Developing Priority Action Issues
• Municipal Election Strategy
• Outreach and Membership
• Long Term Planning

I am inclined to go check it out, but it unfortunately clashed with my floor hockey which is my only reliable exercise every week. We'll see...
