False Creek Events: Sake Event at the Agro Cafe on Granville Island
On CBC am this morning I heard mention of an event that I had not seen advertised anywhere. Tomorrow, Saturday, evening at the Agro Cafe, in Railspur Alley on Granville Island, there will be a Sake event featuring Sake from the cafe's alley neighbours, the Artisan Sake Maker. The event starts at 6pm and I believe will feature tastings from the Artisan Sake Maker.
Not sure where Railspur Alley is ? Well I've made a map of False Creek. Take a look.
If you attend the event please come back and let me know how it was in the comments section below.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: I have received some more information on this event from Masa at Artisan Sake Maker. This event is actually being put on my the Vancouver Mokuyokai Society, a Canada-Japan business/cultural networking society. The event costs $40 for Mokuyokai Members and $55 for Non-Members. The Mokuyokai website says this about the event:
Ticket price includes sake brewery tour, tasting of various premium sakes from Japan and BC, appetizers and a live jazz performance by Jazz Hands, the jazz trio of one of our very own multi-talented Mokuyokai members.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to enjoy some great sake, music and friends while learning more about the first 'fresh premium' Junmai sake brewery of its kind in Canada. Through a sake tasting, novices and connoisseurs alike can increase their appreciation for Japan's finest traditional drink.
