First Granville Island Farmer's Market Is Tomorrow

Maybe you got the postcard in the mail proclaiming "The Granville Island Farmers Market is back." This is a great little market and although the fruit and veg. wil be scarce for a few more weeks, there should be lots of inspiration for your flower garden.

Little Tomatoes at Granville Island

The Market is also getting into the reuseable shopping bag biz with series of three fruit themed bags, one lemon, one strawberry and one kiwi. You can redeam the postcard you got in the mail, or ask for one at a market merchant, and there is a free bag in it for you. I am happy to cut back on my plastic bag useage, but I do find I quickly run out of bags for my garbage. What is the eco-friendly thing to put my garbge in? I've looked at those green compostable bags that the city uses but they are prohibitly expensive unless you buy them in huge quantities. What do you use for your garbage?

I think the re-useable bags are the best way to go.  Would love to find out where the Market is located, and maybe some photos!
