Canada's Bank Act Changes Could Save Home Buyers Thousands

Last Friday (April 20, 2007) Bill-37 was passed into law by those geniuses in Ottawa. The effect being that homebuyers will no longer need mortgage insurance as long as they have at least 20% down. Homebuyers with a mortgage as small as $200,000 could save $2000.
