Illuminairies Lantern Festival on Saturday at Trout Lake
The 19th annual Illuminares Lantern Festival will take place this Saturday around Trout Lake in East Vancouver's John Hendry Park. The event is in it's 19th year and is organized by the Public Dreams Society who also put on the Parade of Lost Souls in Grandview Park each fall. I haven't been for many years and I hear it has become an enormous success so arrive. Skytrain would be a good bet as parking is limited.
The event starts at 7pm with the parade starting at 9pm. Admission is free but a $2 dontation is requested.
