New Cottage Development in Greater Vancouver: The Cottages at Cultas Lake in Chilliwack

One of the most sought after commodites in south western British Columbia is recreational property within a 3 hour drive, or drive and ferry ride, of Vancouver. The Cottages a Cutlas Lake is a new cottage developement near Cultas Lake (duh). Easily reachable in one and a half hours from downtown Vancouver (or 2 hours on a Friday afternoon) it looks like an option well worth considering for those in the market for some easy access recreational property. The email I received had this to say:

Every cottage is a single-family gem, individually designed in rich heritage colours with cathedral ceilings, gabled roofs, wrap around front porches and expansive back decks. Inside beautiful great rooms, wood burning fireplaces and hardwood floors, if you so decide. Lofts upstairs can turn into private guest rooms with ensuite baths. And the storage rooms can turn into hide-aways for the kids, where they can be free to hoard their treasures and give veThe Cottages at Cultas Lakent to their creativity.  (Yes, the spaces really are that big!)

These charming places are nestled amidst towering Douglas fir, cedar, maple and dogwood trees, right beside Frosst Creek and just a ten-minute stroll from the lake.

We will be releasing 56 cottages for sale later this summer.  And with prices starting at $324,900, this first phase will certainly be the most affordable and will sell very quickly.

The prices do seem resonable. You would be hard pressed the find a recreational property in the Okanogan or the Kootenays for that kind of price. The lots here will be about 5000 sq ft which is not huge but enough would be easy to look after. And unlike many recreational properties coming on the market lately this is not a 1/4 share or any kind of timeshare or fractional ownership. It is being set up as a bare-land strata whereby you own your land and everyone owns the streets and amenities together. Oh yes, there will be a club house as well.

They will be opening their presentation centre in downtown Vancouver soon. If you would like more information as it becomes available, or to be pre-registered please let me know.
