Fun Friday in Vancouver: Help me win some stuff and then go shopping on Cambie
I will start this Fun Friday post off with some gratuitous efforts to win Miss604's bloggisversary contest. I only started reading Miss604's blog a couple of months ago, but its really a great one and she has been at it for four
years now. To celebrate she is having a contest and to win I have to link to her blog (check) and a few other places. And of course I like the name. Yo, gettin' down in the 604 homey! hee hee.
Funnily enough I had covered 2 of them last Friday. Miss604 is a big fan of the Foodbank too so here is the link to the donation page of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (now click on that link and get out your credit card and give them some money, they need it more than you do).
If you are looking for an affordable night's entertainment then you can't beat the Vancouver Giants (check), just keep the kids away from those Hellraiser drink cups that are left over from the PNE and are a part of the Giants Kids Meal Pack (or whatever its called). A you might guess I failed this one when I recently took my oldest and 2 friends to a Giant's game. FYI - There are usually plenty of tickets available at the box office on game days if you want to avoid those nasty Ticketmaster fees.
We are also about to sign that son up for his 2nd year of ski lessons at Mount Seymour (check) this year. It looks like we'll be there Saturday mornings. Keep an eye out for me. HAHAHAHAHA! Really though it is great mountain to learn to ski or snowboard for kids of all ages.
Cambie Village is also re-opened to traffic, but that deserves it own post. Standby...
