Waterfront Real Estate in Metro Vancouver. Adventures in North Vancouver <VIDEO>
Despite that big ocean immediately to the west of us there is preciously little waterfront real estate available in Vancouver. And what is available is largely very urban. This past weekend though I was showing a lovely home in the Woodlands-Sunshine-Cascade sub-area of North Vancouver. I am not sure how man people know about this area, but I think it is a real gem. Just over half an hour from Downtown Vancouver
you enter a narrow winding country road through a lush coastal rainforest that spits you out right on the water just north of Deep Cove and looking out over Indian Arm.
You really feel like you've gotten away from the city, yet all the amenities of North Vancouver are about 7 minutes away at the Parkgate shopping centre. The school bus even comes right down into this area to pick p the kids.
I took along my Flip Video camera and shot some video from the house and the dock (almost all the houses have docks). It is a little shaky (sorry),but take a look and let me know what think. By the way, the house wasn't right for my clients so if you are interested let me know.
