Too Much Information: I've Been Meme'd, And Yes It Is Contagious
A meme is sort of like a blog chain letter. The idea is that you answer a series of questions and then pass the questions along to another group of people. I had never received a meme before, but was "lucky" enough

to be meme'd by
Vancouver REALTOR Larry Yatkowsky of Yatters Matters. This meme was started by
Mary McKnight of rss pieces a real estate blog making company. So here we go, and for the record I am no good at these kinds of questions, or writing in group greeting cards for that matter.
1. Who is your favorite musical artist?
Right now I don't have one in particular favourite. What with the 3 kids and all. Lets go with my first favourite musical artist and that would have been Bryan Adams circa 1985 and the Reckless album, which was also my first concert.
2. Who is your favorite artist?
I could say my kids, and they do produce the odd bit of attractive art, but lets try to come up with a "real" artist. I haven't had too much time to look at or think about art since I was last in Europe 10 years ago (where does the time go?!). Anyway, I quite like Gustav Klimt. For a Canadian I like the bold colours of Ted Harrison's Yukon inspired paintings.
3. Who is your favorite blogger?
The one blog I tend to jump to if I only have a few minutes to take a look at my Google Reader is always Joel Burlsem of the Future of Real Estate Marketing. For those of you who could care less about real estae marketing I also really enjoy the positivety of Toronto blogger Stacey's the best life ever.
4. If you could meet anyone (alive or dead), who would it be and what is the most interesting thing about them?
I am really struggling with this one. There are just so many dead people to choose from! Well I finally came up, with someone, after some deep breathing to get me through waiting to the MLS to do something. I would like to meet Richard Branson of the Virgin empire. He is just such a gutsy entrepreneur and a great marketer. The most interesting thing about his is probably that he
5. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A Professional athlete, soccer was my best bet. I played high school football too, but there aren't a lot of 170 pound 6'1" offensive lineman in the NFL.
6. What is the most interesting piece of trivia you know?
I know lots of interesting trivia, but thee most interesting piece, that is a bit subjective. hmmm. Did you know that Granville Island is not an island at all?
7. If you could live in any point in history when would it be and why?
I think now is pretty darn good. The rate of technological change that we are seeing now is just incredible and even though we are still screwing up the planet at least we are aware of it and somewhat trying to do something about it.
8. What is the most interesting job you have ever held?
This one is pretty darn interesting. I was bicycle messenger (not really a courier) for a legal documents company for a short time and being able to ride my bike for a "living" was pretty awesome, except when that guy decided to get out of his cab that was still in traffic. At least the cab was hurt more than me (just a bruise and a scratch). (photo credit: cunning stunt on flickr)
Okay so who will be the next victims:
First up is Tim Ayres of the of the Ayres Blog all about real estate in Sooke, outside of Victoria.
Going coast to coast I'll send this to Shannon Lefevre in Naples Florida. Edit, Shannon did it already and I missed it so I am calling Bill Ethier from Properties in Victoria off the bench to take her spot. I sure hope he can perform under pressure.
Ubertor real estate website company co-founder Steve Jagger.
Also my good friend, and relatively new blogger, Mary Smith of Such Things.
Vancouver marketing guy, Mike Blaney.
Vancouver REALTOR Will Wertheim may be the guy who first introduced me to blogging.
Danny Evans of the Dad Gone Mad blog. I just found this one recently and don't think I've even commented, but nonetheless I'll try sending it to him. He seems like a cool guy.
From Collingwood Ontario is ..... Marg Scheben-Edey whose writing I really enjoy.
Last but not least is one of the first people I met at Vancouver's Third Tuesday social media event, social media consultant Monica Hamburg .
I am not sure if I want to get meme'd again really. This took a while. Have a great weekend!
