You probably heard about this already, but just in case you haven't I thought I'd better mention in. There is a lot of poo, err fecal coliform (learn more about fecal coliforms on wikipedia) in False Creek, especially at the east end of the creek.
The Vancouver Sun was all over this yesterday with the story on the front page of the West ...

Dinner at market is great for young kids. They have a ka-zillion choices and usually its not too busy so they can run around after they finish eating in 2.5 ...

The Winterruption festival starts tomorrow on Granville Island. There are great sounding activities, performances, art and music happening all around the island from Thursday through Sunday the 24th.
Some of the highlights that struck me were:
Family Winter Carnival False Creek Community Centre
Sunday 10:30AM-12:00PM - $5 per family member, ...

Have you been this bird?
I am no bird guy. When I first saw this bird I thought it was the weird love child of the Canada geese it was hanging out with, and a crazy Granville Island seagull, but a neighbour suggested that it is actually a snow goose. How dull!
It ...
