Of course not, but it looks like Vancouver real estate was on vacation too while I was away. In the two weeks I was away there were about 715 new listings, over 500 price changes (I am guessing mostly reductions), and just 250 sales in the City of Vancouver. Yikes, a 3 to 1 sales to listings ratio. Not good news for sellers. ...

The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver released the June 2008 statistics yesterday and the media are having a hay-day with them. No question the market has changed. Listings are way up (18.3 per cent to 6,546 in June 2008 compared to June 2007, when 5,533 new units were listed), inventory is way up, sales are way down (42.9 per cent in ...

The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver has released the May 2008 statistics and the news is pretty familiar if you've been listening to the big media lately. I am bit late getting these out, but here they are nonetheless. Last Friday the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) released the April statistics and earlier this week Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp (CMHC) released Vancouver's April housing starts.
As has been widely reported in the media around the blogosphere listings are up ...

Hello again! I've been on holiday and also just been a bit lazy with the blog lately. I am trying to get back on the ball, as it were. Today the British Columbia Real Estate Association released their Spring 2008 Housing Forecast. I also heard BCREA economsit Cameron Muir on CBC radio this morning discussing the BC real estate market.
The ...

Well, that's nothing new. Vancouver real estate is in the news almost everyday.

I've been a lazy blogger this week. Not much in the way of big Vancouver real estate news, but I've been meaning to get out this post. On Monday this week Canadian building permit numbers for February were released and on Tuesday the Canadian housing starts for the first quarter of 2008 were released.
Building Permits Are Down
